I dont know how long our company will stay in business.
We called and IIO said the RFE was issued yesterday.
Today, the AVM still has the old message.
1. Can some one tell us how long does it take the AVM to get updated?
2. How long does it take to recieve the RFE from them?
3. After RFE is sent back..how long to approval?

thanks for any advise.

It can take a week .

Hi Wannabegreen,
to answer your Qs
AVM updated may or may not happen
RFE can be received by lawyer in a week.
rfe reply to approval takes up to 3 weeks.

Please let us know your 485 details ..esp.
like if you have changed your job / filed
under 245 i / etc.
it might be critical is predicting what the
rfe could be about...but as a general rule
keep w2/tax returns from past 3 yrs ready
also atleast 3 paystubs from 3 months.

were medicals completed in your case ?
was an employment verification letter
submitted ?

Usually takes 10 days to get RFE notice.

I would suggest to reply to the RFE as soon as you can once they ask what the RFE is for.

Once you replied by the trend now after RFE cases are approved fast like two weeks. So once you reply to RFE and get approval, even if company is closed then you just get your stamp.

Call your attorney to see if they got RFE notice and act fast after it.

AVM says 'details recvd on Jan16. processing resumed"

Called IIO around Jun 28th and was told that case assigned to IIO on 26th.
Subsequent calls confirmed it..but be warned .."many IIOs give you bad attitude and say the standard'Still doing June'

So, another colleague..with very similar records was told yesterday that he got an RFE on July 8th.

Help please with my questions posted above.

if I were you

I would ask the lawyer/employer to prepare the employment letter in advance just in case unless you are sure the employer will stay in business for another couple weeks.

Sometimes they ask for other stuff but in most cases (as I saw on these boards and as was my case) they only ask for employment verification, 1099, last 3 paystubs, in other words the only thing that you need your employer to be alive for is the employment verification letter.

the positive angle is that you are one of the first WAC-02 cases thats being reviewed, and your time to approval is more predictable than it ever was.
good luck...
