RFE - recieved for my wife

This is my first message to this board. I checked AVM yesterday and
it said RFE issued for my wife. I dont know the details yet. My guess
is that it is for marriage cert. I dont have a marriage certificate
but only affadafit. Can I get the certificate from the consulate ?
are there any guys out there in the same situation as mine

I saw a posting one or two weeks back where someone was approved with a marriage certificate from the Indian consulate.

yes u can get Marriage certificate from Consulate.
There is a guy named Vinayak who submitted such an certificate.

What about your approval? I saw one posting by dan dan that his wife got the same RFE for his wife even though he submitted the marriage certificate

The marriage certificate I submitted initially was a regular marriage cert and I don\'t think INS would find any problems with that. My lawyer feels they must have lost it as the RFE does not indicate that INS was not satisfied with what was submitted earlier. So my lawyer has sent in another copy of the same marriage certificate and also replied to my RFE. I\'m now waiting for INS to respond. Probably another two weeks would be my guess.

Today my lawer called and said it was indeed about marriage cert.
They need something official cert. not affadafit. I have not asked
him yet that wheter thry will accept cert from consulate.

I will update if I get any news

I never submitted marriage certificate from consulate. I submitted copy of original marriage certificate with my GC application. I received RFE but not for marriage certificate, its for employment letter and last 2 months paystubs.

and according to him
"No RFEs. Company name change during I140. Birth certificates for self and spouse, and marriage certificate issued by the Indian Embassy. "
