RFE question

I need some information very much and I am sure lots of members will find it useful. I would like to know what BCIS is asking for regarding paystubs when they send RFE. Are they expecting us to prove that we are employed for the entire period since I-485 was filed to the time RFE was issued.

Are they asking for ALL the paystubs since I-485 was filed or are they asking for W-2 for those years after I-485 was filed to see if the amount on W-2 matches the one in LC or are they just asking for most recent 3 months of paystubs. I would like to know the pattern. This would help lots of applicants here who might have got a break in employments. To be honest, I am one of them who got a 3 to 4 month break with no paystubs though I am getting one now. All those guys who received RFE for employment verification, please post your details here.

I dont think all paystubs are a requirement. Most of the times it is the ability to pay by the sponsor which is checked.

This is a good question. I asked similar question before but the answer was not quite definite. My question was more focus on match the LC salary. I am OK so far but since the I-485 is long way to go, I guess I will face this kind of problem down the road.

One more question, does anybody has any comments on furture job. I mean purely furture job, applicant has never worked for sponsor. Any succesful example? Thanks.

GCARD2000,

That's a good question. Try to keep this thread alive until we get definite answers.

Lisansw,
Yes, I have seen atleast a few in this forum who have approvals on future jobs without working for the sponsor. Iam one of them and I have been gathering all kinds of info on this subject. Make a search on this site for the words "future" and/or "future job", you will come across many discussions.

In addition to that the process is supposed to be able to filter out folks who cannot hold down jobs and are likely to be on government handouts once they get their GC. Hence the previous tax returns and a recent indicator of a steady income.
