Hi to all,

Is there a limit in terms of days before you should reply to an RFE? What will be the consequences if you\'ve reached the maximum days allowed before you should send the RFE? Any info on this will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Yes there is a time limit for RFE.
In my case I got 84 days.

Did the INS sent you a receipt for the RFE after they received your evidence?

RFE was I-140 Redo due to successor-in-interest merger. Sent in last Monday, Still waiting.

Can I ask how long did it take for INS to redo your I-140? Did they expedite your I-140 case since it\'s a redo and you have got the RFE from INS which only allows you 84 days to reply?

Also could you let me know how many days did it take you to receive the RFE notice from INS? Thanks a lot.

Is there a fee in filling an RFE? Do you get a receipt when you reply to an RFE?

From what I\'ve gathered so far, the RFE time frame is usually about
three months. You can reply and provide the documents any time within
the time frame. There will be no receipt for RFE, but an
 acknowledgement is reflected in the automated voice system one month
after CSC receives your replies.

ciba, do you know what will happen if you send the evidence long than 3 months? What will be the consequences of sending the evidence after three months?

Your case will be considered abandoned and DENIED if you do not submit RFE within the specified time.
