I (USC) filed for my wife's GC. We recently received request for Initial Evidence saying:
"Sponsor's income on the federal tax return does not meet or exceed 125%(100% if military) of the poverty guidelines. The sponsor lists their current income on I-864 as an amount to be considered as sufficient; However, no evidence has been submitted as proof of current income"
After that they have said what they count as proof. Basically letter from employer, last 6 pay stubs etc. Though, they do not mention anything about a W2.
Anyways, I (sponsor), make $90,000 annually. I hope that is 125% above the poverty guidelines? I did not send my complete tax return along with the application, but had just sent the summary page provided by TurboTax. Is that why they have mentioned it is not above 125% poverty guidelines?
in response to the RFE. I plan on sending:
Complete 2009 Tax return
Letter from employer
last 6 pay stubs
W2 (they did not ask for this).
Will that suffice? has anyone gone through this?
