RFE on EAD/AP (VSC)

Good for you that you have ur H1 renewed.
I did not extend my H1 and I'm stuck till I get my EAD.

My wife has a learners permit and now wants to get her DL. You mentioned that 485 receipt will do for the proof of legal presence (since my EAD is expiring). Will a copy do or it has to be the original.

Here are the details:

RD: 20 Feb 2004
ND: 27 Feb 2004
RFE for Passport photocopies sent to me on: June 10 2004
Reply to RFE received by INS on :July 02 2004
EAD approved on :July 20 2004

I sent them color copies of my passport page and also my drivers license copy. I did try to get an iEAD in the meantime but my local office asked me to wait till August 26 as the RFE date they had on file was May 26 and so 90 days had to pass till i could get my iEAD.
