RFE on AP

Hi,

I applied for my I-485, EAD and AP in April for both me and my wife. My I-140 has been pending since sep 12 , 2003.

Today I got a email alert for the USCIS.gov web site regarding both our AP's. They sent out a request for more information.

What can they be asking for, as I submitted all the required documents. My H1 expires in OCt 2005. Can that be a reason?

Please help.

My I-140 has not been approved yet and my wife doesnt have a driver's license. Makes me wonder what they are looking for.

---She can get state ID, if they ask for DL or ID ccolor copy mail it and they may also ask for Color copy of first page of Passport that has your Photograph, DOB, Name
Did your wife submit copy of marriage certificate with her EAD or AP application?? They need it with spouse applications

Makes me wonder what they are looking for.

Two year back, when my wife applied for AP, she provided most of the doucments required for AP application - marriage cert, DOB cert, her passport copy, her I94, her I485 receipt, my passport copy, my GC card (both side). Then she got an RFE asking for my (not her) I485 approval notice and my I-140 approval notice. We realized they can ask for any document, they feel. Next time we provided ALL possible document they can ask for - starting from my H1 visa started at 1997.
So, relax. Keep your immigration folder always handy and organized.
