Hello friends -
I got an email for RFE on July 24.
Did not get the (snail) mail yet from USCIS. I called the office at USCIS several times, but the IOs refuse to give any info in this regard.

Any help would be appreciated, about when to expect a mail, what i can do to expedite;

Wait for the RFE letter

Your RFE might have gone to your lawyer.
Unfortunately not. I emailed my lawyer frequently after I received the RFE-email. He says he did not receive any mail in this regard.

Even more painfully, my lawyer office's has address has changed during the interim period. Now, I am not sure whether lawyer informed USCIS of his new address.

My 2 cents

Raise a SR ASAP with NSC.
I was in the similar situation, got an RFE mail in Sep 2007, but never recieved the physical letters.. Called TSC 20-30 times after 30 days period, they always confirm my address on their records which matches mine, and say that they will report to the officer to resend it.
Later raised SR in DEC with address details, and got the RFE letter to my correct address in Feb 1st week. When i got the letter, i realised, all the time, they were sending to my old address(which i moved out in 2006 jan).
This happened, even though i followed all the guidelines for changing the address(AR11, called TSC and changed the addresses and got the reference #s).
By the time i responded in Feb 2008, i also recieved NOID for myself and my spouse.

If it is more than 30 days and haven't recieved the letters, raise a SR.

What an ordeal!!

Well, thanks for sharing your xp, and keep us straight.

Lawyer has changed his address a few months ago. But, not sure whether he intimated USCIS (and USCIS recorded it) about the change. In all this mixup, quite interestingly, I changed my address too last month. Even though I suspect USCIS would send the letter at my home address, even if it sends I would most probably not get it my NEW address but OLD address.

I called NSC and was asked to wait 15 days at least b4 a SR can be raised.

I will follow up on Monday.

Online status change on Aug 06

Today, I saw a change in the the online status;

On August 6, 2008, we mailed a notice requesting additional evidence or information in this case I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT R.......

(Previously, the online message said the same but it was on July 24, 2008..)

So, this is the second time (or second RFE) the status changed.

No mail received at either my address or lawyer's address.

TB skin test

My lawyer received the RFE mail probably Saturday (at last). His assistance emailed me about the RFE today morning.

It's about TB skin test; The doctor did not do skin test at that time.

I am relieved though.

Thanks for all your suggestions.
