RFE lost in the mail

1st RFE: 02/08/02 (both for me and my wife).
Replied: 02/25/02
2nd RFE: 03/06/02
We haven\'t recieved the 1st RFE issued for my wife and the 2nd RFE issued for me. Call Ins to reissue the RFE twice for wife, but still haven\'t recieved it. Does anyone have this experience?. What should I do next? Go to Nebraska maybe?
 
I had same problem

My case was approved Jan 7 2002.
Wife was issued RFE Jan 17 2002
Lawyer did not receive RFE in 2 weeks
Called INS
They said they would reissue
Did not get in the next 2 weeks
Called again continuously for the next 3 days
Finally the old RFE showed up when someone who reived it by mistake (INS mailed it to the wrong place mailed it back to us
Replied on Feb 13 2002, AVM updated Feb 15 2002
Also received dupliate copy of RFE Feb 17 2002, Dont know which call did it
Now waiting for approval

INS issued 2nd RFE for me, my wife and daughter on Feb. 27 but only
received RFE for me and my daughter. I have not received the RFE for my wife. Called IIO on Tusday morning. She said that she will immediately reissued and send to us the RFE for my wife. However AVM
has not updated to reflect that they resend the RFE to us. Plan to call IIO on Friday again.

You need to call INS

You need to speak to an IIO, verify the entire mailing address, and have them send the RFE. The post office does not normally fporward mail from INS.

Questions for JIM:

Hi, Jim:

   I have questions for you and hope you don\'t mind to answer.
What would be a person\'s visa status if the person\'s visa status
such as F-2, H-1/H-4 is expired during his/her I-485 pending/processing?
Does he/she have to apply for a special visa/extension? Is EAD enough? For Kids, what would be the visa status.
