Hi Folks, Just an update... Per online RFE issued, not yet received the letter...

Application Type: I485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status

Current Status:

On December 13, 2003, we mailed a notice requesting additional evidence or information in this case. The notice explains in detail what additional material is needed. If you have questions about the notice, what is required, or if 14 days have passed and you have not received the notice, please call the National Customer Service Center at (800) 375-5283.

Also I have applied for AP. RD Sept 11th, ND Sept 25th 2003... Pending...

Could this have triggered the RFE?

I checked with BCIS. They have the correct address. I am assuming that the change took place because I filed for Address Change.

RFE Details - Letter received by Atty on Dec 19th

1) Birth certificate or 2 affidavits of birth for self and spouse.
2) Paystubs for the past 6 months
3) Copy of your federal income tax return, all schedules and W2 for the past year.

venky, you mentioned

birth certificate for self and spouse, did you receive just for primary or spouse as well..

Venky , My dates are similar to you

and a Rfe has been issued on my case on Dec 18, did you submit any of those documents with your applications

Thanks

Answers

vsc_babu - Yes. BCIS changes address. I filed AR11 in May 2002.

new1975 - I believe it is in March 2001

RDMAR02 - BC's for both myself and my wife

RDMAR02 - Initially I had submitted BC's and paystubs as of that date. But this request is for resubmission of BC's due to clarity in photocopy issue and paystubs of last 6 months from todate.
Never sent W2's/ tax filing reports to BCIS before.

When did you file for I485?

Question : For people who do not have paystubs for past 6 months
is there any alternative ? What if you had break between
change of jobs ?

If you have no paystubs to provide, you say so. There's no requirement that you be employed during the adjustment phase, although it may raise questions about the likelihood of the future job actually being there.
