Hello Friends:

Received RFE for birth certificate. Its says "Country of birth not clear".
My birth cetificate only mentions city of birth and not country of birth. Any advice regarding the response to such query will be highly appreciated.

RD: April 2002
ND: April 2002

I am surprised to see your thread.

If you don't mind, can you please post your country of nationality and EB category.

Thanks,
Mugdha.

mugdha: it's India, RD 4/19, ND 4/20, i think, from gerald's reference on rupnet

gerald: Q for you: your FP has clearly expired, right? i ask, because, my FP was 05/2002, and ND 04/19, same as your RD.

i surmise there's enough reason to begin to mull over thinking about contemplating to start to celebrate? sorry, just hoping against hope, at our severe haplessness.

RFE on April Cases! what is going on

at NSC? Where are bulk of Jan-Mar cases? Are they trying to make it look good? Orca, what is your RD/ND? You are from Oregon? Brings back old discussions memory ....

I spoke to my lawyer this morning. An oct 2002 RD case was approved last month it seems. Very inconsistent.

I called to my lawyer too

he is seeing some Jan with and without rfes. Lots of speculations and no definite RDs that we can assume that INS is working at the present time.

Really?????????!!!!!!!!!!!

nope!

ghee: here are my details:
CO, RD 04/04, ND 04/19, FP1 05/29 (all dates 2002)

and, just for the record, i don't need FP2 (officially confirmed by USCIS) because of the getting-fins-back scenario.

I have the same problem ..

Sgerald ,

On reading your post , I checked my birth certificate and it doesn't have the country name either. All it says is
"Certificate of Birth, Bombay Municipal Corporation." There is no mention of "India" in there (I guess because its fairly obvious to everyone except the IIOs.)

If this is the standard format then it's an issue for anyone born in Bombay (Mumbai), who has submitted his/her birth certificate and not an affidavait from a parent as a proof of nationality.

It will be a while by the time they get to my case , but please keep me posted as to how you plan to reply to this RFE.

Thanks.

sgerald,

Can you let us know your LIN number corresponding to the day of year? That would be useful.

LIN-02-171 has had some RFE's issued this month (thanks to Greenland).

Actually, there were 3 RFEs issued for 02-191 (May 21, 02) last week and 2 the week before that. In addition, there were about 15 approvals each of the last two weeks for that date.
