Rfe, I-602

A friend of me received a RFE indicating that he used a false passport at the time of his initial entry to US, and that he must complete the I-602 or else he would be denied of the Permanent residency or may face deportation.

I believe BCIS gives this is a type of notice to asylees who entered to US without valid passport and who did not show (or provide copy of) their national passport during their asylum process.

Your advise is appreciated!! If this issue was discussed before, please include the link.

Thanks

Use the search function to locate prior discussions on this issue. Basically the USCIS has stamp approved almost all of the I-602 requests filed by asylees. Nevertheless using a false passport is a serious offense and for this reason I suggest that you retain an experienced attorney to submit the waiver request.
