RFE for the birth and parentage

My wife got the RFE for the birth and parentage. She does not has any certificate with both the parents name. All her certificates only has her father's name. Only passport has both the parents name.

What can we do here?

If we can submit the affidavit, who should sign the affidavit?
Has anyone replied successfully to such RFE?

I don't know what country u r from. I am from India and I didnot have any records either. My parents had to get a "non availability certificate" from the local registrar office (where I was born) PLUS a notarized letter stating both my parents name and when and where I was born.

We (Mself & Spouse) have the same RFE.

My attorney ask us to provide affidavit from my Spouse's mom that she is the birth mother of my Spouse.

For my self (becuase my mother is not alive) He ask affidavit from my Father and from my uncle or aunt

Thanks Setu and Ajoo. Ajoo, Sorry about your mom. Setu, I am from india.
Only thing she has is her passport with both the parents name.
But, we are getting affidavits from her parents from India. Irony is, they were here a week back for a month, and we did not do it then. But, now we will get it from India.

Hi all,
I'm in the same boat. i got an RFE today and it was asking for the same documents. i have already submitted the birth certificate for myself and my wife but they say it is xx years after your birth you got this cerificate. pl provide any oldest docs available proving dob and parentage. can anyone please provide the format of the affidivit that can be submitted in leiu of those docs and also details about the notary. should that be done on stamp papers, etc my parents and her mom are in india. how do we get it. please help....
