RFE for Paystub

I recently read that there was an RFE for :

"3 MO. PAYSTUBS, MEDICALS, EMPLOYMENT LETTER "

I don't understand why paystubs are required. I understand that GC is for the future job, and I may be out of job now (afgter applyingfor GC). As long as I can present the employment letter who is redy to hire me upon aporval, I should be eligible to get the approval. Then waht is the purpose of the RFE for paystubs?

Can someone please share the thoughts?

Paystubs are proof that

1.you are currently maintaining a valid H or L visa
2. If the underlying H or L visa(copy of which u might have sent along with 485) was from your sponsoring employer INS wants to know whether (a) your employer is paying you to prove that the entity is capable of the salary mentioned in the LC/140 or (b) whether you are still with your sponsoring employer or not.

the phrase :GC is for future job does not mean that you cannot be working now...
