in my case.

2nd EAD received Aug 00. 1 AP.
Company named changed. In process of filing amended I-140 a couple of weeks ago. Don\'t know if it\'s already filed yet.
Called IIO about a couple of weeks back (9/9/00 8 am). Lady very courteous and helpful. Said that "file was moving and not on the shelf catching dust" and that papers/info was being added to it (including FP which was added July 2000 ). Said to call back in a couple of weeks and ask about location of file and status of case.

These days I guess an RFE is good news, but we\'ll just have to wait and see.

When did they mail the RE and when did your lawyer receive it?
Did they send a copy for you too? When did you receive the RE?

I have the similar case, INS said they have send my RE on 9/23 (Last Saturday), I have not received any communication yet?

I may need to call my lawyer tomorrow.

RFE was sent on Sep 27, 2000. I received it on Sep 30, 2000. The RFE is for an
employment letter and my latest tax returns and W2.

Mine changed to RE on Sep 26th. Still the lawyer not recvd yet.
Could you please tell me what the RE says? (specifics such as,
for example, employment letter containing start date, etc.)
