RFE for EB1-OR and EB2

Hi friends,
As I write here a nervous energy is running across me. Just before a while I have received 2 CRIS mails that on July 15th they have mailed RFEs for both EB1OR and EB2 (labor based) I140 petitions. I wasn't expecting my case to be processed that soon. My RD on Eb1 is 10/11/07 and EB2 is 01/29/2008.
I am really surprised with RFE on EB2 as it is a simple labor based petition (University). Do you guys have some idea what it could be for??
Also I was expecting RFE on EB1-OR because of my only 2 years experience and limited citations.
BTW my case was filed at NSC...
I'll post the content of RFEs as soon as I get them...
Any encouraging words will help in settling down my nerves..
Please wish me luck...

Also please let me know how much time USCIS provides to respond to RFEs?? I'm a bit worried as my wife is on AOS and she might have to leave US in case of EB1 I140 denial (God forbid)...

Could it be an RIE?

Given the immediacy of the letters and the fact that one of the two applications was LC-based, there could be a missing item in the initial evidence (i.e., original birth certificate and official translation) or an incomplete data element in Form I-140. I am guessing that you used exact copies for these items in the two submitted packages.

Try to go over the submitted material and search requirements available in posts to this forum (before you get the letters) so that you can anticipate the reasons behind the letters and to be prepared.

Best,

S

Thanks stranger70!! But don't you think documents like birth certificate, translation, etc. are needed for I485 processing? And both of these RFEs are on I140.
Also i remember that i provided complete set of documents to my attorney.
Also how one can figure out whether its a RIE or RFE? I guess CRIS message is same for both....
Others please provide your insight...

EB1 is not LC based, does not need a labor. If you are filling EB1-OR, why did you use labor for EB2. Check whether you have conflicts in the petition or Labor.

I know that EB2 is labor based and I filed it to be on a safe side in case EB1OR is rejected. What kind of conflicts did you refer to?

Since both petitions have received RFE at the same time, I am just wondering whether claims you made in OR conflicts with EB2.

Thanks skvadivel!! I think you made a valid point here....I hope they are going to be mild RFEs. Let's see whatever it is...I'll post it to get inputs from other people.
