RFE for both mine and my wife's I-485 at the same time?

We have pending I-485's in NSC and got an email just now for BOTH cases that an RFE has been sent.

The I-140 was approved last year and we are from INDIA , EB-3 with a PD of Jan 2002 so still retrogessed.

Any idea as to what could be the RFE, that it is for both of us at the same time?

It could be a million things, so it's hard to speculate. Some of them are:

- proof of bona fide marriage
- missing medicals
- verification of maintaining legal status while in the USA
- missing paperwork of any kind (birth certificates, etc.) though this seems less likely if you both got RFEs simultaneously


The list goes on... sit tight and report back once you get the letter.

You got it right, it was for re-doing medicals. It got me worried a lot.
