I got e-mail update from USCIS saying they issued RFE on both my wife's and my I485 on Mar. 9. Till yesterday I still haven't got the letter yet. So I called the 800 number, and got forwarded to VSC. The lady who answered the phone said they are having some backlog now so the letter may not be mailed out yet. She asked me to check back in 2 weeks. Does anyone have similar experience? We have only 12 weeks to respond the RFE, how can they delay 4 weeks on the road!!!

she is leading you on for extra time. normally, the phone representatives have no clue what they are taliking about. You got to push them.

I have received RFE on March 18th but till now , i have not received Notice letter and details about RFE from USCIS . i can't complain much as i need to wait another week to call 1-800 . i hope its not medical again as it may take min week to complete the procedure , office leave and $$$ .
have anyone received i485 approval after their medical completed for more than one year ? is it possible to request/push the staff at USCIS 1-800 to tell us what the actual RFE is ? so that i can be ready by the time i receive it .
i have done my medical on Jan 2004 .

I remember the medical is good for 1.5 years. Is it still the case now.

I called asking why I haven't received receipt notice after more than a month.
That woman was quite interesting. She said she doesn't know why the USCIS
system sometimes works, sometimes not. She said in VSC recently they intended
to send a bunch of RFEs, but the computer generated a bunch of Denial Notices
for those cases, which of course caused many frustrations...
Now I think not receiving a receipt notice is not unlucky compared with
that...
