RFE - BC Questions

My lawyer made me send copies of Affidavits only.
Although i have originals with me, if they ask I will be able to send it to them.

So did you get approval based on copies? Was your lawyer based out of MD?

DEV,

The reason why you are submitting the affidavit is purely based on case to case basis so if you feel that what lawyer is asking to write go ahead with it else if you feel that the "as due to omission of registration at the time of his Birth we didn't register him until ddth of mmm, yyyy ." is better do that ..it doesnot matter much as long as you are clear in your presentation .

Copies of the affidavit is fine . Keep the originals with yourself/lawyer .

My 2 friends got the approval on the basis of the affidavit copies at NSC . They never submitted the orignial .

IPC302

ok guys let me share you the format of Affidavit i used in my case, i got this format/sample from INS website page 1 year back and i tried to find it today but couldn't get to it.

This Affidavit was done on 5 rupees Stamp paper(Big one on the top) & there's
another small 5 rupees legal stamp underneath big one.

Rest of the document goes like this.

AFFIDAVIT
I, your Father son of your grand father , aged xx years DOB- DD/MM/yyyy at birth city presently
staying at current address, do hereby solemnly affirm & declare as under:-

1. That Mr. you is my son and currently residing at US address.
2. That my son you was born on your DOB at birth city.
3. That he was residing with me in India and brough up by me.
4. That I hereby declare under penalty of perjury pursuant to the laws of United States Of
America (28 U.S.C. 1746) that the foregoing is true & correct.

Verification:- (I think this part is written by notary)
Verified that all the contents are true & correct to the best of my knowledgeand belief that nothing has
been concealed therein.

City
Deponent (father's signature.)
Date etc etc....

And then this document has stamps (about 8) all over it from notary. Some are stating that
valid for foreign country/Outside India; his commission expires on...Another 5 Rupees little legal stamp and notary stamped on it also.

Same way i got this done from my mom and 1 from an uncle. Now this format is somewhat different from what IPC302 stated. Any of you send something like this or different please share
