I had my interview last week, and seemed like everything worked out...I was two weeks short of my five yr anniversary, so I was told by the officer that it will not be approved until my five yr are up. Today I got a letter from interview officer requesting my marriage certificate. It just made me a little concerned; because what I thought all the paperwork is done. I had my marriage certificate with me at interview, but it wasnt even asked. It is employment based gc and my wife is a student here in US. Does anyone else has any experience?? I was waiting for oath letter but it seems like it is going to be delayed further.

Is your wife on F-1 visa? Did you two get married after she got F-1 visa right? F-1 visa is not supposed to be issued to spouses of green card
holders due to intent to immigrate.

Its entirely normal. Once they went through your application, they may have wanted a marriage certificate for your application to be complete. So don't worry you are ok!

I don't think there is a problem but I never heard anyone here has been
asked to send marriage certificate after interview when the application
is not marriaged based

I don't think there is anything to worry about. Receiving RFE is an indication that they are about to finish closing your case and they just need one more document after review. It is very rare to receive a 2nd RFE. You just need to respond to the RFE with what they asked for and expect their decision very quickly.

People tend to be paranoid and wonder "why me?" . If everyone
is asked to present marriage certificate, then one is OK. But is one is single out, that make one worry. For the same reason, if everyone has processing time 18 months, then everyone is happy. But when normal time is 6 months,
those who take 12 months are really frustrated and afaird

Send both the FRONT and BACK of your marriage certificate. The back is important as it has the certification stamp. Also, send a single sided copy as the IOs tend not to flip the page over to see if there was anything copied at the back.

Thanks for all your replies; I just get worried when I see an inquiry, when it seems like things are working well. I am sending a copy of certificate tomorrow, and will wait and see what happens. Hopefully it will get approved soon.
