RFE acknowledge

My lawyer answered my RFE ( with a $700 bill to me!) last week and today the online stauts changed to 'we received your response to RFE...' just for my wife NOT for my RFE response! How is that possible?

What's next? We also had to do out 2nd FP 2 weeks ago!
Please advise!
 
6-7 weeks

If all is good you should be done in 6-7 weeks. Limited mostly by time needed to complete FP check. If it was RFEs only, it could be much faster - sometimes only 10 days.

Web status thingy sometimes fails to record some things. E.g. I've never had FP results noted on my status and yet got approved.
 
well, About $700!! No Its not a fixed fee lawyer. My green card processing has been going on for such a long time, I don't even know how much I have paid so far!!! It started as my previous company paying for lawyer fees, then the economy went down, the company stopped paying for lawyer fees, then the lawyer started billing me, everytime he did something for me. This time it was just the RFE response! I haev been doing my own EAD, AP renewwal for teh last 3 years, ( 4 EADS already). My ND is Spetember 2001!!

i guess I am one of the oldest cases here:(
