RFE, 2 weeks notice at present job and AC21

Something unexpected has happened. Thinking that it will take time for me to have mine and my wife's I-485 adjudicated, I looked for a new job and found one last week. I also gave my two weeks notice yesterday to leave my present company. Today and I come and see that I have an email from USCIS saying that an RFE has been issued for my wife. I checked my status on the USCIS website and nothing has changed for my case.

How do I go about this? I have already given my 2 weeks notice and I don't think I can stick around in my present company till I hear more about our I485. I have a month's time to reply to the notice. Should I join my new company and then reply to the RFE or should I reply right away? What do I do about AC21?

Switch jobs, and reply to the RFE. Since it is for your wife's case, I doubt it will have anything to do with your employment. Even if it does, if you are eligible for AC21 relief you can claim it in your response.
