Revalidation

I am planning a visit to India. My Visa (stamped) expires on the 31st, i am planning to come back into the US of A on the 28th. I do have an approval notice till Jan 2004.

My questions,

1. Is there a problem if i come back just 2 to 3 days before the stamped visa expires?

2. What are the chances of getting a new visa stamped in time at chennai?

3. Can i get my wifes H4 stamped in Chennai, with out getting my H1 stamped?
