Hi,
Does anybody had a successful/rejection stamping at State Dept. inspite of having a military background.
I worked in Air force and I will be mentioning that in DS-157.
Should I try CANADA if lots of such cases were refused .
There's not really enough information to say for sure.
It depends on what you did in the military and what country.
For example:
MAJOR PROBLEMS:
You were a special forces member of the Iraqi military and were highly trained in espionage and sabotage.
PROBABLY NO PROBLEM:
You were an Admiral in the British Royal Navy.
You probably were somewhere in between these extremes and therefore it is difficult to say, particularly with no details as to which extreme you are closer to.
I worked in Indian Air Force for 6 years. No offensives, mainly technical stuff.
I hope I fall closer to other extreme.
May be if India had sent its troops to Iraq, I would have been much closer.
