Revalidation from B1 to L1(i-94 only) to H1B

Hi,

I came to US on a B1 visa. I then got converted to a status of L1B in the same company but did not stamp my visa. In other words, I have only an I-94 with me for the L1B visa.

Last week, I got my H1B from another company. Now I need to stamp this visa in my passport. How do I go about this? Can I send this internally in the US to St.Louise or some other place to stamp it? If not, I suppose I have to go to India (my country of origin) or to some other place like Canada to stamp my H1B. Which is more advisable? To go to India or Canada?

You have to go to a US consulate to get the stamp. If you do not have a US degree than avoid toronto. Other places (like calgary) have been sympathetic to non us degree holders. But with your B to L to H transitions, I would advise trying in the home country consulate with a I824 consular notification...(ask your lawyer)
