I have my H1 extended for the 2nd year as the labor application has been pending in RIR. I am going to Canada to get my visa stamped. There is a requirement that I should show enough ties to India. It has been 8 years and I dont have any latest bank documents form India nor do I have any property in India. My parents and elder brother are in India. What kind of documents do I need to have in case they question me about my ties to India?
Thanks for your help.

Can the H-1B extension or revalidating H1B visa be denied just because one has little ties to his home country? Do you know what the dual intention is in the H-1B?

I haven't seen anywhere stating that you need to show "ties to India/home-country" while going for H1 visa stamp. To the best of my knowledge the "ties to India/Home-country" documents are only asked when you go for B2-Visitor visa.

Yes, I know dual intent. I dont have a problem with that. The problem is , its been 8 yrs since I left Inida and dont have enough docs to show my ties.

Someone has already answered you. You will still deal with the H-1B and law does not say difference about the dual intent in the H-1B between 1st and 8th year, won’t you?
