Returning after 9 months on greencard

May parents went to Pakistan, and are now returning after 9 months. Do you think they will face any problem at point of entry?

This is the first time that they went to Pakistan after getting their green card.

I have heard that as long as they are returning within 1 year, they should be fine.

If this is their first long trip, and it's under a year, they should not face any real problem at the POE At worst a gentle warning.

But if it becomes a pattern of leaving the US for several months over and over, their green cards would be at risk.
