Retrogression dates moved to April 1,2002

its good that it moved but just a month move is pathetic ...what else can we do ... just keep waiting .... :(

I am happy that they moved. Especially since my PD is now past the published PD. But, yes its disappointing for others as only a months move forward. I expect a much bigger movement forward in the coming months though.

Thanks for posting the news and all the best to everyone.

About 15th of the month. You could sign up for a listserv and they will send the information by mail as it is published.

What date does this get published every month?

I really think it is bad news for people with PD later than Dec.2002 under retrogression effect. There are thousands of people with very old PD stuck at Labor process. Once they got LC approved (which is soon) the visa number will be used up in a very short of period. So I have a feeling that if PD doesn't move to 2003 this year then it won't reach 2003 in about two years.

I am happy that it progressed!! I wish the same would happen to I485 processing @ NSC which seems stuck for the last 3/4 months.

o.k many posters here think I am crazy. But I don't mind if PD doesn't move. Because I have EAD which allows me to work for anyone (similar job description) or don't work at all. I am single so I will have more time to find a life partner. I have no plan to stay in US for more than 3 years from now..so don't care about citizenship. So I am one of those rare people, who don't care about PD. Before everyone start bashing me, just note its only my personal opinion and its due to situation I am in.

Good luck to everyone else.

Retro what next month??

Anybody have any idea, what the retro is going to be moved next month 15th, every body was guessing(i found in some other forums), that it may move 3-4 months, this month, but it did not moved. What about next month??

My guess is next month it might move further to 2-3 months (june 2002 to july 2002). However I am happy that it moved atleast one month ahead. Better than not moving!!!

experts please suggest

what does this date mean any ways.,.. i mean hoe does it effect ...

say my case my pd is mar 2002

but my rd for 140 and 485 is dec 17 2004.

does this mean my case will be approved?????????

Is NSC processing EB3 cases from retrogression countries with Priority dates between Jan - Apr 02.
I have not seen a single case in the past month in this forum or in rupnet.
Their actual processing date appears to be stuck at Dec 2001.
The priority dates moving every month does not mean anything than.
EB3's from retrogression countries after Jan 02 are royally screwed.

That will not happen because - after labor approval I140 need to be approved and FP has to happen and then comes I485 approval which is when the visa is alloted to the case. So relax. But the bad news is for those folks stuck in the labor...I wish them good luck.

jghsrapt & steve_gc485

Both your comments are correct, i guess it is a race between how quickly PD"s move and how quickly the backlog centers approve the LC's.

jghsrapt - I think we still need to worry because in some service centers they are approving I140's in a few months. In such cases they might get to work on I485's quickly; check the processing at CSC and VSC, they are processing 485's in less than a year. So we should be concerned with the processing of all service centers and not just NSC.

No offence meant, but the slower the backlog labor approvals the better for EB3 PD's retrogressed, atleast for the next few months.

All this brings to mind the question, why 485 processing date at NSC are stuck at Aug, 2002. CSC and VSC are in 2004 and TSC is in 2003. Is there no accountablity for NSC slow procerssing ?

is it real?

Is it really true that the NSC is processing Aug 2002 I485s...seems to me that this date has no bearing lately as many posts here that I have seen with a later date than Aug 2002 but PDs in March 2002 or earlier getting processed and approved.

I tend to strongly believe that the Aug 2002 date is inconsequential.
Any comments?

I agree that there are many approvals for 2003 from NSC. But the date is stuck at Aug 2002. This means that all of us with ND later than Aug 2002 cannot enquire about our cases or take senators help because we will get the standard reply that your ND is not past the procesing date.

The point I was trying to make, irrespective of the fact that the date is irrelavant, isn't there anyone that NSC is answerable to as to why the processing date is in 2002 while other centers are in 2004 ?? Arn't they judged by how much work they do ? I guess not.
