I was just going over the rights and resposibilities for a LPR.
I found this in the responsibility section
Register with the Selective Service (U.S. Armed Forces), if you are a male between ages 18 and 26. See Register With the Selective Service for instructions.
"If you are a man and you are 18 to 26 years old, you must register with the Selective Service. When you register, you tell the government that you are available to serve in the U.S. Armed Forces. The United States does not have a military draft now. LPRs and citizens are not asked to serve in the Armed Forces unless they want to. "
