Response from USCIS on Status Inquiry - Any comments?

I got the following response on 08/02/06 from USCIS for my inquiry on 07/28.

"Currently, the appplication in undergoing the security checks now required on all applications prior to final review. You will be notified by mail as soon as a decision is made on the applications."

Is this a standard response from USCIS?

As of 05/02/06, my case was stuck in name check. I had LUD changes on my last two AP's on 07/02/06 & 07/22/06. Here is the following response I recevied from USCIS on 05/02/06.

"The processing of your case is delayed due to pending security clearance with FBI. If you do not receive a decision in the next 6 months, call us back after 180 days"

Are both these responses normal/standard ones or Do you think that any progress have been made in my case? Your expert opinion is greatly appreciated
 
I had the same reply for my i 612 after my inquiry.
by the way ho did u know your case of stuck in name check as of 05/02/06.

how to contact NSC ???

How did you manage to contact NSC - was it email or phone???

You can simply call to a representative like you are going to change the address and then ask why your application is outside processing time.

If you are not current, there is no point to call.

standard answer. means you are stuck in name check. File lawsuit now and get it over with.
 
My case was stuck in name check.

Recently I got RFE for asking more evidence regarding birth certificate. does it mean that my name check is over?
 
same here!

i got the same standard response for both my I485 and EAD applications. This
is my 4th EAD!

The sad thing is EAD is a benefit while waiting for I485 approval.
But now with the new security check for EAD... if I dont get EAD in time... i cannot work... then how do I get GC?

I am guessing your name check is cleared by now. You can call USCIS and confirm
 
just got back from APC with new EAD!

When my attorney made a status inquiry to USCIS today, they received a pretty vague response (given below) over the phone.

"The application is with the officer for the review and we will contact you when the decision is made"

What does this mean? Is this another standard response?

Gurus/Attorney's, please comment

Note: When I inquired last month, I received a letter saying that the application undergoing security checks.
