Here is the Response from NSC for SR opened on 08/07/2007

The status of this service request is:

Your application is not considered to be outside normal processing
time. During the period of time when an application is in pending status
all applicants are subject to having 10 digit fingerprints taken at
fifteen month intervals. Service records indicate the fingerprints
currently on file for you have either expired or may expire prior to the
assignment of your application to an Officer. Due to the current volume of
pending cases at the Nebraska Service Center we are unable to predict
when your application will be assigned to an Officer, however, your
application is in the processing queue and it is possible that you may
receive an appointment notice to have your fingerprints taken before you
are notified that a decision has been made on your application.

If you have any further questions, please call the National Customer
Service Center at 1-800-375-5283.

What does this mean ? . do I have to wait for couple of months to get the finger prints ...??? and wait again some more months to get my application assigned to an officer ?

Please share if anybody had this kind of Response for a SR.

Thanks

Last week I received response for my SR.
In short, my application is in "Additional Processing" and if I do not receive an update in 4 months time I am asked to contact NSC again.
