Resizing the pictures for DV

Hi,

I'm having a very hard time resizing the pictures, I thought I knew what I was doing but they just keep getting worse.
Can anyone PLEASE help me resize them? I tried, miscrosoft picture manager, picasa2, serif photo plus 6... I just don't know how :(

i can help you if only you will want my help, send the soft copy of the pic to my inbox, i will resize it and send back to you, the acceptable size is 240 x 320 pixels. cheers :)

240x320 is for digital pictures, for scanned pictures it is 300x300.

Ok heres what you do:

Open Adobe Photoshop or can be done in PaintShop (Download the free trial one) and in other freebie pic editors floating around on the net.

Set the cropping tool to Width= 240 px and Height=320 px
You can literally type in "240 px". Resolution. Leave resoultion to say 72 pixels/inch

Next click on the cropping tool which is on the toolbar (similar in most editing programs) and looks like a little zig zag stitch pattern - then click on the image and then drag the rectangular dotted box as you see fit to get head and shoulders in the frame.
What ever you have inside the frame is what will be cropped.

Next just right click and then click on crop...And there you have it...Just save it and you are done!


Any problems let me know. If you are REALLY REALLY stuck then i can do it for you but i suggest you give it a go. Its easy peasy as long as ou do it right
