residency on EAd

higuys.. I am planning to do my residency on EAD.. I am worried because if i wasn't able to renew my EAD on time , or my husband I485 got rejected, then would I be elligible to be sponsored a new H1b by the residency program.. i really appreciate ur input..Thanks

currently many people are doing residency on EAD. so its not bad idea. regardig the 485 rejection/renewal issue, that is something you have to live with while on EAD. As long as he has active H1b you could change anytime to H4 and no need to leave the country.

I am doing residency on EAD and in the morning I am going to change to GC I just received (I am the primary applicant). Yes, as desi2007 said, you have to live with your current situation and do one step in a time. First, find the program who accept you to work with EAD (may be quite difficult). Second, what if the EAD renewal delayed (apply to renew at least 5 months in advance). Then, what if your husband's I-485 get rejected which usually preceeded by intent for denial with relatively good time for both of you to take action (negotiate with the program to sponsor you H, if you finished step3 and H visa is in the policy of the program). But, if you have chance to join a program with the EAD just go ahead and take it without thinking, it may be the only chance for many IMG nowadays and I think the rest is relaively easy.
