Residence of Washington DC - Time between interview and oath

Hi All,

I have my N-400 interview in the first week of Sept. Washington DC holds oath ceremonies once a month, every second tuesday of the month. I am just wondering if I will make it to the Spet 14 ceremony. If you live in Washington DC, I would appreciate if you could share your expereince.

It is possible you might be added to the Sept 14, but i wouldn't bet on it. It is possible they might schedule you for October/November at the District Court right off Penn Ave, NW. Unfortunately, most of the ceremonies are fully booked due to Fairfax office backlog for DC residents. I know someone who was approved in September and wasn't sworn in till Nov 2nd of that year. As such, you might just be lucky and hope luck is on your site.
