Research Associate --> EB1b???

Hello, gurus:

Will someone be kind enough to answer my naive question: I am about to start a PostDoc position in a medical school with the job title "Research Associate" Will this qualify me for EB1b if I can have human resource from my school to write a letter stating that it is a permanent job? Many many thanks.

No, that alone will not qualify you for EB-12. However such letter is a cornerstone of a successful OPR petition.

it is the permanent job nature that matters. Research associate sounds good, but is it a permanent job? will you be able to get a letter to proof this?
