I feel for you mamajon54. Right now, you are pretty much on the frying pan.
By re-scheduling the upcoming stokes, you will be basically jumping out of the frying pan in the blazing fire!!! Don't do that if you can avoid it...
Instead of re-scheduling, you have two weeks to prepare for the interview. In my opinion, two weeks is a long time to prepare - assuming your marriage is bona fide. Prepare like your life depended on it! Are you working with a lawyer??? If not, you need a lawyer and a good one for that matter. Don't play games with this interview.
Your life will be turned upside down if you play games or if your post pone the interview because of a lame excuse.. USCIS will really go after you if they "smell blood in the water" - rescheduling a stokes interview will raise all kinds of RED flags.
Assuming you have a lawyer, will he or she accompany you to the interview?? Tell your lawyer that you want him/her to accompany you. It might cost you $1000K or so but it will be money well spend. Having a lawyer present ensures that USCIS will respect your rights and that they won't threaten you or your spouse.
I have heard of cases where a lawyer interupted the interview by telling his client "you dont have to answer that". Play it safe, get prepared and pray. This would be a good time to seek some Godly intervention... Good luck...
