Rescheduling of AOS interview - Suggestions please

Hi folks

Applied for LC in Apr 2002 through current company while I was employed in Boston. I subsequently moved to Atlanta in Sep 2002, got married in Dec 2002, settled in Atlanta since then. GC Continued to be processed in VSC and address changes done on time every time.

LC cleared in Oct 2003, applied for I-140/485 in Jan, 2004, got I-140/AP/EAD approvals along the line in 2004. Currently travelling to Boston on projects but still with same company.

Now, got AOS interview notices for me (Jun 1st) and my wife (Jun 8th) in Atlanta. My attorney (who is in Boston, and so are my wife and I currently) wants to re-schedule it to Boston and he wants to accompany us.

WANT TO KNOW HOW DETRIMENTAL THIS RE-SCHEDULING CAN BE? change of venue + change of date...

WOULD IT BE AN ISSUE IF WE SCHEDULE IT OUT IN BOSTON, EVEN THOUGH I and my wife are thinking of flying down to ATLANTA as per schedule? WOULD THE WHOLE VENUE CHANGE CAUSE DELAYS?

ANY KNOW-HOW OF HOW MUCH TIME IT MIGHT TAKE TO RE-SCHEDULE?

HOW BAD IS IT IF I AND MY WIFE DECIDE TO GO AHEAD WITH JUN DATES EVEN IF ATTORNEY CANT ACCOMPANY US IN ATLANTA?

PLEASE HELP.. Need quick answer before attorney does something real bad.

ANY SUGGESTIONS ON WHICH OFFICE/LOCATION MIGHT BE BETTER?

Please don't reshedule the interveiw as it will cause a considerable delay in your AOS. Try to keep your orignal date of interview. The delay is minimum over six month depanding on the state. Good Luck
 
I did rescheduled my interview. Within 2 weeks, I got another interview. Reference only, my case dose not mean universal fast rescheduling. Good luck.
