Reschedule N400 Interview

Guys,

Does any one have experience with rescheduling the N400 interview? My dad has an upcoming appointment but he wont be in the country at that time. :(

Best option we are thinking so far is to reschedule the interview but dont have a clue as to how long after the original interview does the reschedule take place.... :confused:

Does anyone have such an experience, hopefully in the detroit INS office?

You can request a reschedule. In my opinion, its better not to. There is a wait between interview and oath and maybe your dad can come back if possible and then head back out after the interview.

If you must you can go ahead and request postponment, however like you said its hard to predict when the next appt will be

As an FYI, my friend who applied for N-400 (VSC, Cherry Hill, NJ District Office) asked for a reschedule on her interview and has now been waiting over 8 months...

I agree with Rahul that re-scheduling is not the best way to go...

reschedule N400 interview...

Hi,

Matter of fact...I did reschedule my N400 interview since I was not in the country during the initially allocated date...
Within a month, I got a new interview date..
This applies to the SF bay area..
