How strict are the requirements for staying in the same field after one receives a GC via EB1-EA ?
Can I broadly put my area as computer science and work broadly in areas related to computers (engineering, startups, quanitiative analysis) or do I need to keep publishing papers in a narrower domain ?

With a greencard in hand, you are free to choose any job, whether in computer science or a local McDonalds.

Of course, if you choose to work at McDonalds, and decide five years from now to apply for citizenship, you may be asked a few interesting questions in your citizenship interview.

AFAIK, one of the requirements of an EB1-EA is that the applicant continue working in his/her area of expertise for it to be valid ?

thats as interesting question. I was under the impression that one should work in area of expertise until GC is approved, after which he/she is free to do whatever. Lets see what others say.
