Hi,
I filed my I-140 in May 2003 received an RFE in April 2004, responded to RFE in July 2004 so far no update from USCIS. I would like to contact senator or congress man to inquire about case status. Can you please share if you have any info related to this like sample letter, required docs, pros and cons or your personal experience.

You need to find your congressman's web page. google it, congress has
the web page links. In my case, there was a sample letter or form
for USCIS case inquiry. I did this a few weeks ago and haven't heard from
the congressman's office either. Is there any place that would urge
congressman to urge USCIS to look at our cases :p
