Requesting Status Information letter over phone?

What is the procedure for requesting Status Information letter over the phone? I’m over 31. Are they asking all of those questions which they have on form or just basics? Do I have to mail to them copy of visa or not? How soon can I get a letter?

I was thinking of requesting SSI letter stating that I was not required to register with them (at the time of entry older then 28) over the phone rather then mailing them request with copies of documents they need (passport, visa etc).

You'll be able to show [/FONT][FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif][FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]this at interview by your inital entry date into US (USCIS also has this info on file).
You can always call SSI at [/FONT][/FONT][FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif][FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]847-688-6888 if you rather get a letter of no SSI registration.
