I appreciate the offices of Khannaji always being in the forefront supporting
valid immigrant issues.
I believe one major issue all of us with H1 work visas are facing presently
is the need to leave the US to visa stamping. As most of us are aware, visa stamping was discontinued in the US due to security reasons.
This has caused untold hardships for thousands of law abiding and tax paying
H1 workers. It is a major cause for tension leaving the US to go for stamping
knowing fully well that even if we have all the documents there is a possibility of visa denial which would then mean going back to the home country thereby causing untold hardships and delays.
Can we as a united immigrant community start supporting the need to have the visa stamping done in the US. If security was the only reason why this was discontinued - I am sure there will ways around it - like getting fingerprints scanned by the FBI, etc.
We talk about so many other issues facing the immigrant community. It is high time we get together and lobby for this one.
