Request for GC for parents

Hi Guys,

Can you lead me toward a post that explains how to apply for Green Card for parents after one becomes a US citizen. The question is when parents are outside US.

Do you know how long will it take on average?

First you file I-130 with all supporting documentation + fees for each parent. Once approved, after some more paperwork and fees, your parents will be interviewed at a US consulate where if successful they will receive immigrant visas.

From filing I-130 to interview can take anywhere between 6 months to over 1 year.
