Request for evidence

I mailed in my N-400 form a few weeks ago. While checking my status online earlier today, I noticed that they changed my status into "Request for additional evidence." It adds that they sent me an I-797 requesting evidence, and that my case will be put on hold until I provide such evidence.

I'm yet to receive the letter, but it got me real anxious. I have provided USCIS with all the required documents with my N-400. What could that additional evidence be? I simply cannot wait for the letter to find out. :D
 
That means your fingerprint appointment has been mailed and you should receive it shortly.Disregard the RFE.
 
Oh great. Thanks for the response. I thought it was going to be some kind of tax or travel records which would have proved a major pain to dig out. :)
 
USCIS should stop this non sense.It scared a hell out of me too but it was not really RFE, When I spoke with IO on the phone ,he was emphesaising that fingerprint is requesting for evidence so defending their crap and I was like whatever not wanted to argue it with him over this misleading action.
