Request For Evidence delay?

I had a Request For Evidence during my I-140 processing. I felt it put my application back to the end of the waiting queue. It took almost a year to get it approved which was a long time.

Now I got RFE again on my I-765 application. Looks like my lawyer always forgets something. My I-485 is pending. I don't want to see RFE on it again. Does anyone know if RFE will put your application to the end of the queue and introduce a huge delay?

RFE does not put your application at the end of the queue. You application is put on hold untill the RFE is resolved. It generally takes couple of months for an RFE. I guess they needed to verify something which took a long time on your 140, or someone forgot about your case and mis-placed the rfe when you returned it.

when did u file u r application for I-140 and what was u r category
EB2 or EB3

They asked for previous employment verification letter. I filed I-140 May 2002 in EB3
