Representing myself.

Hello all,

My dad is going to represent himself on a deportation case. We have found some information on how to do this, however, we do not know when and where the pardon (INA §240A) has to be submitted. Please advice me on this.

Thank you.

Which part will he apply under (a) or (b)?

What is the removal charge listed on his notice to appear (NTA)?

You have provided way too little information to get any useful feedback. Provide a timeline of events for him and is he the beneficiary of any petition?

This is a bad idea. I would strongly advise against representing yourself. The immigration lawyers know all the tricks in the book, and you will be no match for their experience. The judge may become irate and rule against you, because you don't know court procedures. Get a lawyer. Even if you have to find one Pro Bono.
