All,
I received an email this morning regarding my parents I-130.
The email says
Application Type: I130 , IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN
Current Status:
On February 22, 2006, we responded to your request for more information concerning your case. If you have not received our response within 30 days from this date, please call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.
If you have questions or concerns about your application or the case status results listed above, or if you have not received a decision or advice from USCIS within the projected processing time frame*, please contact the National Customer Service Center.
National Customer Service Center (800) 375-5283.
I have never requested for an update. This email is different from the earlier email I got for my parents I-485 specifically requesting for evidence ( for providing non availability of Birth Certificate).
I am slo provding the email below I received for the same.
Application Type: I485 , Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status
Current Status:
On November 18, 2005, we mailed a notice requesting additional evidence or information in this case. The notice explains in detail what additional material is needed. If you have questions about the notice, what is required, or if 14 days have passed and you have not received the notice, please call the National Customer Service Center at (800) 375-5283.
If you have questions or concerns about your application or the case status results listed above, or if you have not received a decision or advice from USCIS within the projected processing time frame*, please contact the National Customer Service Center.
I need help deciphring what this email means.
My understanding is that
(1) USCIS is NOT requesting any new evidence.
(2) The case is NOT approved
(3) The case is NOT denied
(4) The case is still PENDING and USCIS is trying to be courtesous and letting me know the case is still PENDING for different reasons e.g - like Back ground check is NOT complete, no police clerance from home country (India).
Is my understanding right.? Any advice you can all give is deeply appreciated.
Bye and regards,
-Simi Dude
