All,

Application Type: I130 , IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN
Current Status:

National Customer Service Center (800) 375-5283.

I have never requested for an update.
This email is different from the earlier email I got for my parents I-485 specifically requesting for evidence ( for providing non availability of Birth Certificate).
I am slo provding the email below I received for the same.

Application Type: I485 , Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status
Current Status:
On November 18, 2005, we mailed a notice requesting additional evidence or information in this case. The notice explains in detail what additional material is needed. If you have questions about the notice, what is required, or if 14 days have passed and you have not received the notice, please call the National Customer Service Center at (800) 375-5283.
If you have questions or concerns about your application or the case status results listed above, or if you have not received a decision or advice from USCIS within the projected processing time frame*, please contact the National Customer Service Center.

I need help deciphring what this email means.
My understanding is that
(1) USCIS is NOT requesting any new evidence.
(2) The case is NOT approved
(3) The case is NOT denied
(4) The case is still PENDING and USCIS is trying to be courtesous and letting me know the case is still PENDING for different reasons e.g - like Back ground check is NOT complete, no police clerance from home country (India).

Is my understanding right.? Any advice you can all give is deeply appreciated.
Bye and regards,
-Simi Dude

I may be wrong, but I believe that it's the same USUAL, WELL KNOWN INS "B.S."

Even they don't know what exactly this email means and why they sent it to you
:D

If you never request for an update, then disregard the message but really doesn't mean anything just that if you want to know about your case call the Customer Service; but on the I-485 if you received an RFE and you haven't send it out is a reminder. Have you received a RFE?

Your input - Clarifications and Thanks

Cherr1980 -
I sure received an RFE for non availability of birth certificte for I-485. I responded with the the the certficate obtained vrom India by sending the same in USPS Certified Mail with Acknowledgement. The USCIS has received the same. My online message also showed that they received the RFE for I-485.

This change in online system for I-130 came out suddenly. Looks like nobody is in a situation like me (so far from the reponses I received). I wil see what the letter says in next couple of days and will let you all know. Thanks for yor reply

Beats me

I thought you will be receving the approval notice by now. At least we know they have opened your file and waiting to approve.

The documents needed for I-130 -

Petitioner:
Naturalization Certificate
Birth Certificate or (Two Affidavits of Birth and Non-Availability Certificate)

Beneficiary:
If applied for mother - nothing
If applied for father - parents marriage certificate to prove his relationship with your mother related to your birth time

Do you think you might have missed any of the above documents?

If it's a no, then its a waiting game....

that email means u have been issued a RFE which u will get in a few days u will be given 30 or 45 days to respond what they ask for that is what my understanding is, sometimes if the supervisor finds what the officer is looking for then the message changes back to we have recieved ur application after 14 days if dont recieve anything in the mail after 14 days and message dont change back to original call 'em and ask 'em for another one be sent to u goodluck.

Thanks for the Input

I did include my BIRT certifcate as well as marriage certificate for my mother's case. I am ONLY filing for my mother(widowed).
I CANNOT think of anything I missed. May be th letter will throw more information. I will keep you all posted. Thanks

Update on the Issue by SIMI DUDE

All,

When I got my receipts for my I-130 filing for my parent, there was some part of first name missing in the Receipt Notice. On 10/10/20005 , I called th eNational Customer Service to make sure that both parts of her first name are there. I asked them to correct the typographical error ( first name second part BBBBB)
My mother's first name in the I-130 receipt notice read AAAAA where as her real first name was AAAAA BBBBBB.

The EMAIL UPDATE I received did not say anything about this. Today, I received a letter in the USPS mail clarifying that the name typographic correction has been done.

It does not talk about when the approval is expected etc. or time lines etc.

Thanks to all of you.

Major crisis averted

It's good news that they are not asking for anyting else.

Even I was alarmed about what they might need from petitioners.

Well, since all is well, goodluck on the ASAP approval.

Thanks for the REPLY

Thanks for the reply. I hope it is good news too. There were updates on the I-485 too on 02/25/2006 (evn though there is NO real Update). So, I am sure some body is looking the file but NO approval so far. I want to get the approval soon ( as always). In your friend's mother case, did you see any updates ( ii quick succession before she got the approval). ANy information is highly appreciated.
Thanks

Sorry Simidude, can't throw more light on that though.

She (My friend) wasn't following the online process with the great intensity, in other words she's not like anyone of us. ;)

I got all the case details only after I pestered her to recollect and reverify the dates on the mailing envelopes.

I was able to predict my parents FP Dates and EAD arrivals until now based on others' timelines in ATL DO. But the stage after EAD, even I'm lost with the process.

Looks like some have to go for the interview, which I'm not worried at all at this point because even ATL DO is moving fast relatively and process time has come down to 51/2months. Right now I don't care whether case is transferred to CSC or not.

But we did not include the NON-AVailability and so far haven't received any RFE either. Of course we included the School certificate which had the DOB and we mailed the non-availability later on to Lockbox as well as Missouri.

Thats the only sticky point in my case.
