Hi ateganda29,
sorry, my message won't fit in the private message area, therefore, i thought i would post it on here. I think other people could find the answers useful too, so, no harm.
The interview was kind of tough though to be honest with you. It was in the INS (back then) special department in Nashville Airport. It was a room full of guns and officers with guns. It was a separate interview. The let me in first, asked me questions while my waife waited outside. Once the officer was done with me, he asked me to call my wife in. However, the officer was nice, once convinced, he stamped my passport right then and there "temporary evidence of I-551".
If you need something else , let me know. Are those question pertain to yourself?

Thanks for asking ateganda29, however, i haven't heard anything yet. I hope soon that i hear something good!ateganda29 said:hi sony55! have you heard anything about your appeal yet? just wondering for any updates.
It took approximately one and ahalf year. However, the process is much faster now, as mine was done back in 1999. I think it should take about 4-8 months now depending on your DO. Once approved. It takes about 30 days to receive the conditional card.ateganda29 said:quick question: when you applied for AOS soon after you got married to your USC wife, how long did it take from the time you sent in your application to the time they approved your application and received your conditional card? how was the interview? what kind of docs did you have to present to prove your marriage is legit?

Yes, exactly. And it took almost 11 and a half month to get the approval. then, two weeks after that i got the actual card in the mailateganda29 said:also, 90 days prior to the 2 years of your conditional card, i assumed you applied for a waiver of the conditional status and that's when you received your GC without condition. is that correct?
I left the country four months after marriage. However, I didn't even have the temporary Green Card yet. I only applied for advance parole and got it within 10 days. I only used that parole to travel along with my passport. I didn't face any problems.ateganda29 said:you also mentioned you were able to travel out of the country for 3 months after your AP was approved. so when you went out of the country, you only had your AP approval and your conditional GC and you didn't have a problem with your travel?
