renewal of passport on asyllum

Hello,
I have question similar to this I have applied asylum in 2014 and still waiting for interview .But I want to go back now and my Indian passport is expired how can I renew that or is it not even needed If I take my application back ? Please guide.

Assuming you wish to return to India, you have to seek to renew the Indian passport through their embassy. Many passport applications ask about legal status in the US, another question could be whether you've sought asylum; and of course you have to respond truthfully to such a question.

What visa did you enter the US on?

Q2 What evidence of strong ties to your country did you establish on the ds160 and b2 interview back then?
 
I thought return to (supposed) COP and applying for passport from there both disallow asylum. Possibly the factors that were a problem for OP back in 2014 have now been resolved? OP, is that what you mean by "take application back", that you no longer need asylum?
